Join FBR at Johnny Brenda’s for our final Mayor’s Cup fundraiser to benefit Legacy of Hope featuring two stellar bands Candy Volcano and the RETROGLYPHS! It’s going to be a great night of fun, music, and beer, all for a good cause.

Legacy of Hope believes no family should lose their home or go without food because a loved one is fighting cancer, and no promising cancer research should go unfunded. Legacy of Hope works with oncology social workers to find and support Philadelphia’s most financially distressed cancer patients, and they collaborate with Philadelphia’s major cancer centers to find and fund Philadelphia’s most promising cancer research. Help us end cancer’s burden and find a cure for every cancer within our lifetime by supporting Legacy of Hope at:

The donation at the door is $10 which includes one raffle ticket. $3 Kenzingers will be available as well as a great selection of local craft beer. Proceeds from the door and the raffle will go directly to Legacy of Hope. Special thank you to Johnny Brenda’s for donating the space and staff for the event. Thank you to the Philadelphia Phillies, and Justin Relkin for their generous raffle donations.

CANDY VOLCANO is a festive tribute to the music of the 1970’s glam rock era brought to you by an extensive cast of colorful performers. The official opening band of “Philly Loves Bowie Week”, Candy Volcano presents it’s “Mixto Mix” Glam show featuring songs by Lou Reed, Bowie, Nic Gilder, T-Rex and many more – all interpreted with theatrical style by the singers/performers. Candy Volcano is a street-walking cheetah with a heart full of napalm. Candy Volcano is an alligator, It’s a mama papa coming for you. Candy Volcano is a prima-ballerina on a spring afternoon.

RETROGLYPHS is an 80s-inspired synthwave band founded by Frank Cervantes and Josh Dowiak, joined by Charles Sekel and Joshua Holland. Following in the footsteps of their favorite 80s groups, such as Tears for Fears and New Order, the group is committed to making new original material that showcases their own style and creativity while paying homage to the sounds of days gone by. The result is a collection of songs that fuse soaring vocals, synth-centric melodies, and dynamic rhythms, collectively encased in cinematic nostalgia.
