		<description><![CDATA[Thursday, June 20,  FBR runs to ALFA American Tavern for a special Back On My Feet 20in24 and Philadelphia Brewing Company promotion. BOMF has selected PBC as the first official beer sponsor of the Midnight Madness Run which is one of many events featured in the 2013 Stroehmann Back on My Feet 20in24. Midnight Madness takes place on Saturday (technically Sunday) July 20 at midnight.  After tackling the 8.4-mile loop, runners can stick around for the PBC Beer Garden upstairs at Lloyd Hall!  BOMF staff will be on hand at ALFA to answer questions and to register those interested int the 20in24. There will also be food and PBC specials. ALFA is located at 1709 Walnut Street and is 4 miles from our start location (Run Map). We will run Susquehanna to Girard; Girard to 2nd; 2nd to Market; Market to S. Broad; S. Broad to Walnut; Walnut to 1709. 		<description><![CDATA[On Thursday, June 13, FBR is hosting  Liters &#38; Wursts:Achilles Meet &#38; Greet Fundraiser at Frankford Hall from 7-10 PM.  This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet the Achilles crew and to learn more about the Philly Chapter where several of your FBR friends volunteer. It will also be a fundraiser to assist runners attend the Achilles Hope &#38; Possibilities 5 Miler on June 30th in NYC.  Please pass the word to all your non-running friends too, as anyone can purchase a bracelet in support of this great cause. So plan to take Friday off and come out and support an amazing cause. Frankford Hall is graciously offering us a special Achilles/FBR menu with tremendous discounts on their amazing beer selection and delicious food.  We’ll be selling bracelets for $5 that will be good for drink and food specials from 7-10pm.  All full Liters (normally $12-14) will be $8; 1/2 Liters (normally $6-8) will be $4!!!! They run every Saturday morning at 9:00 AM from 1601 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia.  Check out this wonderful video about the the Philly Chapter. 		<description><![CDATA[FBR, artist and music aficionado, Trish Houck,  is about to embark on her 6th Breast Cancer 3-Day  journey.   She will walk 60 miles over 3 days which is  2+ marathons in a weekend.  Over the six years, Trish has walked 360 miles and  and devoted 18 days to raise money to fight breast cancer.  According to Trish: I joined the walk at first because it was a challenge, walking that far and raising over $2,000.  But then it became personal. A close friend and I had started scheduling our mammograms on the same day each year.  She wanted to skip it once because it was a busy holiday time. I said no, we have to go. They found her tumor at the earliest possible stage and now she&#8217;s been cancer free for over 6 years. Every year I hear about another friend, coworker or neighbor  that is diagnosed.  They benefit from the new treatments and I want to help continue the research so that a cure is found I want my grand kids to say that they don&#8217;t know anyone that has suffered from breast cancer. <p>FBR is supporting Trish in her efforts by hosting a special beer run on Thursday, May 30 to  <a href="http://www.strangelovesbeerbar.com/" target="_blank">Strangelove&#8217;s</a>, one of Philly&#8217;s newest establishments.  If you wish to participate $5 will get you a bracelet that will give you Strangelove&#8217;s happy hour prices from <span class="aBn" tabindex="0" data-term="goog_1744131135"><span class="aQJ">7:30 to 9:30 PM</span></span>. You will also get a pink bandana, a raffle for a door prize and Trish&#8217;s deepest gratitude.  There will also be a prize for the best dressed boobies &#8211; male or female! Work it!</p>
