Pen & Pencil Club

We make our inaugural run to Pen & Pencil Club, Philadelphia's only surviving press club & Center City's only late night bar! While membership is available to reporters and friends of journalism, they’re opening their doors to FBR for an evening.

Spencer Talbot is running a pop-up kitchen for the event. The menu will include burgers, veggie burgers, and likely croque monsieur sliders and dessert. 

*Note: while smoking is not allowed while we are there, there is sometimes smoking on-site. They have a good ventilation system, but if you are very sensitive to the smell, it may be noticeable. Smoking may be allowed after 10pm.

• 7th & Bainbridge in South Philly

Weather Policy
We are an all-weather running club, however, use your own judgement regarding running in inclement weather. Summer thunderstorms usually come and go quickly, so check the weather radar for the most up-to-date forecast. Safety is paramount and you should not run during lightning storms. Shelter-in-place if caught during a lightning storm and/or consider alternative options for getting to the bar. Remember, no questions asked.
